Beautiful Faithfulness - Poem by - Shirley Aguilar - A Must Read

Beautiful Faithfulness - poem
Beautiful faithfulness,
Guard mine eyes and soul
I long to see His face one day,
His admirable sovereignty, His gaiety that fills my thirst and painful hunger
His impeccable blood that poured down,
Below his perfect godly form
To the furthest cave of pity.
In fact,
The cave was inexorably dark and cold,
My breath nearly solidified humanity
In the deepest squeal of exposed grins
As I imprudently pierced the cave,
I heard an obscurely pleasant sound
Approaching this hungry soul;
A gentle
Alluring
Tingle
In mine ears
I held my decrepit hand out,
Wiping away the dust I enhanced
Waiting for another gentle tingle
Nanwuht,
Nanwuht
Clenched mine ears
Why did I fancy this delightful sound?
What or whom provoked this pounce?
In perplexing agony I cleansed my hand,
And ran off to the starting point
Grabbing the light, but thence
A peculiar rain drop curled beneath me
It was gracefully distinct, I recall
It was as red as the blossoming rose
I had foreseen,
Tasted,
Yearned for
In the hour of gloom
The gentle tingle seized this soft spine,
I was blind, intense, and I felt a shiver Waltzing from my back to my toes
I suddenly fell upon an emerald chariot
O! What divinity consumed me blind?
The Blessed King-who was I to deny?
His grace mesmerized me, and
Took hold of the rotten pulse of mine
Broke me and reshaped me, I felt this
Then, I opened mine eyes,
I saw that very red rain drop on Him
Sinking in His mighty palm, and I knew
I knew
My King
Loved me
He came to rescue me from hatred
He crowned me with his love,
Allowing me to adore while unstable,
My dirt had seemed to disappear
My King Clothed my Nakedness
and directed my chin, mine eyes
onto his majestic power
and humbly said,
"Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine."
Who was I to deny?
I became HIS.
-Ezekiel 16:8
