I wanted to be loved by my husband. In reality, I was loved, but I wanted a love that he couldn't provide. It came to a point where I demanded that love and felt unloved if I didn't receive it. God showed me that I was putting my husband in a role that only Christ should fill. This lifted a burden from my husband, and allowed me to be satisfied by Christ's love first, and my husband's love second. One love is the gift of life, and the other love is a gift in this life. Now my identity is in Christ.
