She found out she was having a girl that she wanted to tell her family it was a boy so that she could surprise them when she was born.
(In case you were wondering WHY she would do such a thing....she already has 3 boys and this is most likely her last child. Her mom really wanted her to have a girl (because she herself raised 4 girls and wanted her daughter to have that same connection). Not to mention most of the grandchildren are boys! So she knew her family would be SO excited to find out it was a girl)
