I wanted to look like I had everything together. The desire for the respect of other people was really a desire to be worshiped. I wanted to be and to be seen as my own savior, but inside I was so empty. I was held captive by the response of men, and fearful of their opinions. But the perfect love of Christ casts out fear. I don't fear how others view me, because I'm not worthy of worship, Christ is. My true savior saved me from myself. Now my identity is in Christ.
