I am a single divorced parent and sometimes divorce is not avoidable. Sometimes ur spouse abandons u and ur child and sometimes there are issues inside the home that is dangerous to the child and u have to get them out in order to protect them. I know divorce is hard on the children, but what about what could happen if they stayed together? My child was 3 when we divorced and is now learning the hard way about the other parent. They come and go in their life and that is no way for a child to live. My child has lived with just 1 parent most of their life and they have turned out fine. I have been both parents for them. It's all about how they are raised. I was not selfish in getting the divorce, I was protecting my child. My child knows they are loved very much and they are my whole world!
