Did you know?

The thing that really keeps us from embracing Christ as Savior is our pride-our ego–our unwillingness to admit that we need Him.

God loves us (John 3:16) and
He created us to know him personally (John 17:3), but, because of our stubborn self will each of us have gone our own way and are separated from Him.

God’s word says that all of us are sinful (Rom. 3:23) and the penalty of sin is death–separation from God (Rom. 6:23).

Left to our own we are destined for an eternal existence apart from God (2 Thess. 1:9).

The good news is that God’s love for us is so great that He sent His own son, Jesus Christ, to save us by dying on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sin (Romans 5:8).

Jesus, alone, offers a way for us to be forgiven and come back into a relationship with a loving and just God (John 14:6).

The Bible is clear, we cannot get there by our own works (Ephesians 2:8,9).

This is the real stumbling block in Christianity–admitting that we need Jesus and can’t get our lives right without him.

Some of Christ’s final words recorded in the New Testament are, “Look, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in to him.” (Revelation 3:20)

The question that I now leave with you is, “Are you ready to surrender to God and invite Jesus Christ to come into your life, forgive your sin and make you the kind of person He created you to be?”
