On February 14, she left the hospital with her brand new heart twleve days after getting a transplant. The 48-year-old from New Jersey was put on the transplant donor list back in November and 71 days later doctors had a match. Many in Lisa's family suffered from the same disease called Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or HCM. So Lisa founded an organization to raise awareness about the genetic disorder. It helps patients as well.
